Funeral Services Held Saturday, April 25th.
WYOMING - Elmer C Johnson, 88, died Thursday, April 23, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Von Sprecken, Olin. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 25 at 2 p m at the Wyoming Methodist church. Rev. Kenneth J Harden officiated. Interment was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Pallbearers were John E Holub, C M Hoist, Wilfred Wherry, Lumir Holub, Paul Levsen and William Bronson.
Life Outlined
Elmer Johnson was born Jan 27, 1871 son of Timothy and Lucertia Johnson. At the age of 11 he moved with his parents to the farm home one mile south of Wyoming. He attended the Wyoming school and took a business course at Upper lowa University, Fayette. At the age of 17 years, he started playing with the Wyoming band. He played the tuba with the band for 30 years.
Marriage Told
He was married to Elizabeth Zak, Oxford Junction. Couple made their home south of Wyoming for 50 years. Couple moved to the present home in 1944. Mrs. Johnson died within a month after moving to the present home. He was a member of the Methodist church since 1888.
Survivors Named
Survivors include three daughters, Helen, Mrs. John Von Sprecken, Olin; Mrs. Nellie Freeman, Clarence, and Alta, Mrs. Leonard Ahrendsen, Wyoming; five grandchildren, 12 great - grandchildren and several nieces. Besides his wife he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Bette Von Sprecken, two brothers, Delano and Orlando, two sisters, Minerva Wherry and Mary Barrett.
