Mrs. Schwarz, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Schmidt born at Fredericksburg June 8, 1865 had attained the age of 72 years, 10 months and 12 days.
In April 1888 she united in marriage with Charles Schwarz who died October 11, 1911. To this union 8 children were born of whom a son, Harry died in February 1933.
The surviving children are Hans and Arthur Schwarz of San Antonio and Charles Schwarz of Kerville, Mrs. A.L. Whitley and Mrs. J.A. Schmulen of San Antonio, Mrs. Charles Buck of Houston and Mrs. J.O. Spears of Eden.
Other survivors are 11 grandchildren, two brothers, Louis Schmidt of Mason and Albert E Schmidt of San Antonio, a sister Mrs. Charles Hotopp of Fredericksburg, numerous other relatives, and a host of friends.
A sister, Mrs. Herman Ochs and the following brothers Theodore, Otto, Henry, Benno, Herman, and Jim Schmidt preceded her in death.
