Sullivan City - Alfred J. Vanderpool, 63, died in the Mission Municipal Hospital Tuesday evening. He was born in Oklahoma and had lived in Sullivan City for 30 years. He had been an oil field ganger. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Alice Vanderpool; three sons, Wesley Vanderpool of McAllen, Wayne Vanderpool of San Juan and Verne Vanderpool of Sullivan City; three daughters, Mrs. Jackie Brooks of Edinburg, Mrs. Betty Flores of Houston and Sharon Vanderpool of Pharr; five grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Kreidier Funeral Home Chapel, McAllen. The Rev. J. S. Marcantel, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Mission, will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
