Paul W. Timm, 47, quality control manager and designing engineer for the Paragon
Electric Co., Two Rivers, died Monday at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. He lived
at 1518 Ahrens St.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Phipps Memorial Chapel of First
Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gervase Zanotti will officiate and burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Timm was born Aug. 6, 1921, at Manitowoc, son of Ray Timm and the late Lillian
Krummel Timm. He attended Manitowoc elementary schools, was graduated from Lincoln
High School, Manitowoc, in 1939, and attended Wentworth Military Academy, Lexington,
Mo., before enrolling at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston, Mass. He
was graduated with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering in 1944.
He worked 18 months for Douglas Aircraft in El Segundo, Calif., and 18 months for
Tennessee Valley Authority in Oak Ridge, Tenn. For three years he was associated
in business with his father as assistant manager of Timm’s Tire and Battery Service,
Manitowoc, and in 1951 joined the Paragon firm.
He married Leone Nehring May 13, 1942, in Boston.
Mr. Timm was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc, American Society
for Quality Control, Manitowoc Elks Lodge No. 687, Manitowoc Masonic Lodge No. 65,
Manitowoc Chapter No. 16, Manitowoc Commandery No. 45, and the Manitowoc-Two Rivers
Shrine Club.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Paul Jr., of Manitowoc, and his father, of Estero,
Fla. A daughter preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 5 o’clock this Tuesday
afternoon until 11 a.m. Wednesday and then at the chapel until time of services.
Memorial may be made to the Presbyterian Church, Memorial Hospital or Shriners
Hospitals for Crippled Children. The casket will remain closed.
