Leone Sharpe, age 96, of Manitowoc, died Sunday morning, January 1, 2017 at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center of Manitowoc.
The former Leone Nehring was born on November 6, 1920, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Kershek) Nehring. In the past, Leone worked for Timm's Tire & Battery and Wingfield Oil all of Manitowoc. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Church Elder, member of P.E.O., and attended group Bible study. Leone enjoyed playing bridge and was an avid reader.
Survivors include her son: Paul (Carol) Timm, Jr., Manitowoc; step-daughter: Patricia Sharpe, Green Valley, AZ; step-son: Fred L. (Sherie) Sharpe III, Dallas, TX; three grandchildren: Susan (Peter) Dramm, Manitowoc; Cheryl (Rod) Smith, Manitowoc; Paul (Krystal) Timm III, Naples, FL; five great-grandchildren: Amanda Dramm; David Dramm; Lelanie Timm; Angelique Smith; Isaac Smith; one sister: Madeline Schroeder, Naples, FL, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Mary Nehring; one infant-daughter: Susan; three husbands: Paul Timm Sr.; Carl Woehl; Fred L. Sharpe Jr.; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Howard Nehring; Douglas (Carol) Nehring; one brother-in-law: Paul Schroeder.
A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church, 502 North 8th Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Dr. Matthew L. Sauer will officiate with burial of her cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services at 3:00 p.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting with funeral arrangements.
