DAVID DEAN SCHWANKE AND DARRELL DALE SCHWANKE
David D. Schwanke, 20, and Darrell D. Schwanke, 19, sons of Mr. and Mrs.
Eldred E. Schwanke of Rt. 3, Manitowoc, died of injuries received in an auto
accident which occurred near Dubuque, Iowa, late Sunday night. David died
Monday morning at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque and Darrell died Tuesday
afternoon at University Hospital, Madison.
Combined funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Phipps Memorial Chapel
of First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Dale Tutje will officiate
with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
David was born Nov. 18, 1954 at Manitowoc, and had been employed by the Chilton
Metal Products Co. Darrell was born Oct. 20, 1955, at Manitowoc and was
graduated from Valders High School with the Class of 1974. He had resided at
the residence of an uncle Ronald Schwanke of Rt. 2, Reedsville.
Survivors include their parents, Eldred and Audrey Samer Schwanke of Rt. 3,
Manitowoc, a brother, Dennis of Manitowoc, three sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Denise)
Richards of Cleveland, Mrs. Peter (Doreen) McKee of Manitowoc and Miss Donna
Schwanke at home, paternal grandfather, Ervin Schwanke, of Rt 2, Reedsville
and maternal great grandmother, Mrs. Anna Samer of Beaver Dam.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday
until noon Friday when the caskets will be moved to the church chapel.
