Mrs. William Schwalbe, 86, of Manitowoc, died Sunday morning in Family Heritage
Nursing Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The
Rev. Richard Lind will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mrs. Schwalbe, nee Lillian Heldebrandt (sic), was born May 30, 1892, in Sheboygan,
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hildebrandt. She attended Sheboygan
schools and was married to William Schwalbe June 20, 1913, in Sheboygan, coming
to Manitowoc to reside in 1938, where they owned and operated an upholstery shop.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church and Order of Eastern Star 196.
Survivors include her husband, William, two sons, Harry of Milwaukee and Arthur
of Chicago; a brother, Arvin Hildebrandt of Sheboygan; two sisters, Mrs. Erna
Bauman of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Meda Koeppe of Colgate, Wis., four
grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A brother, Melvin, and a sister,
Clara, preceded her in death.
Friends may call in Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from noon Tuesday until the
time of service.
