ANNABELL SCHROEDER (d. 2007)

Annabell I. Schroeder, age 92, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center,
Manitowoc, died Thursday morning, March 1, 2007, at Shady Lane.
She was born March 24, 1914 in the town of Rockland, Manitowoc County, daughter
of the late Alfred T. and Olga A. (Christianson) Torrison. She married Lothar C.
Schroeder at St. John's Lutheran Church, Newtonburg, celebrating 58 years
together. He preceded her in death Jan. 27, 1989. The couple farmed in the Francis
Creek area for many years until retirement. Annabell was an active 50 year member
of the Ladies Aid at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, an HCE member for over
50 years, and a Kossuth 4-H leader for several years.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Marilyn Zucchi, Manitowoc; Beverly and Ronald Kocian, Wayside; a son and daughter-in-law: William and Karen Schroeder, Francis Creek; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Bernice Drahiem, Manitowoc; Evelyn Neumann, Manitowoc; a sister-in-law: Vera Jean Torrison, Manitowoc. Also surviving are special friends: Edwin and Florence Brey and family; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law: John Zucchi; a great-granddaughter: Katlin Schroeder; two sisters: Helen Ryan, Hazel Meany; one brother: Goodnow Torrison; two sisters-in-law and six brothers-in-law: Rosella and Richard Schroeder, Aletha and Alvin Waack; Herman Drahiem; Leo Neumann; Francis Meany and Clifford Polansky; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 5, 2007, at Immanuel
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the
Rev. Paul Schossow with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Manitowoc, from 9 a.m. on Monday, March 5, 2007, until the time of service at 11
a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family
with funeral arrangements.
Annabell's family wishes to send a special thank you to the third floor staff at
Aurora Medical Center, Drs. (private), the nurses at the Manitowoc Clinic Dialysis
Center, Hospice, Pastor Paul Schossow, and the second floor nurses at Shady Lane.
