Hazel L. Meany, age 85, a Shady Lane Home resident, died early Tuesday morning, August 2, 1994, at the home.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 1994, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 A.m. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. James Stamborski with burial to follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born September 13, 1908, in the town of Rockland, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Alfred and Olga Christenson Torrison. She married Francis C. Meany on April 26, 1927, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. He preceded her in death December 2, 1980. Mrs. Meany was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church and the St. Therese Society.
Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Joanne Zarn, Manitowoc, Mary Weir, Atlanta, Ga., Jeanice and Conrad Lerum, Plant City, Fla.; one son and two daughters-in-law, Paul and Sharon Meany, Tempe, Ariz., Betty Meany, Roseville, Minn.; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Bernice and Herman Draheim, Manitowoc, Evelyn Neumann, Two Rivers, Annabell Schroeder, Two Rivers, Helen Ryan, Valders; one brother and sister-in-law, Goodnow and Vee Torrison, Manitowoc; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Lois and William (Bill) Walsh, one son, Claude Meany, one son-in-law, Gerald Zarn and one great-grandson, Justin.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 8 a.m. Saturday morning until the time of service at 9:30 a.m. There will be no Friday evening visitation.
