John Rudie, 80, of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, died Thursday evening at Memorial Hospital,
Manitowoc, where he had been a patient seven days following a stroke.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church Chapel,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Roland I. Schwandt will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Rudie was born in Manitowoc County, Oct. 26, 1877, son of the late Gulbarand
and Marit Johnsrud Rudie. He never married. He had been employed as a draftsman
and estimator by Hamilton Mfg. Co., Two Rivers, where he began when 19. He
retired when 65. For years he had been a member of the Hamilton Band and of the
Brotherhood of the church.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, until 10:30 a.m. Saturday when the casket
will be moved to the church where the body will lie in state until the hour of
service.
