Gordon (Gardy) W. Pech, 47, of 524 N. 10th St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Thursday evening at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 3 pm Saturday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral home, Manitowoc. The Rev. V.N. Hillestad will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Pech was born July 20, 1923 at Town of Kossuth, Manitowoc County, son of the late Fred and Mrs. Julia Havlovitz Pech. He married Mary Jane King Dec. 27, 1947 at Manitowoc, where the couple located. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the medical attachment of the station hospital.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, Mrs. Julia Pech, of Manitowoc; a daughter, Karen, at home and a brother, Victor of Manitowoc. Friends may call at the funeral home, Ninth Street entrance, after 6 o'clock this Friday evening until the time of services. Military rites at the grave site will be conducted by the American Legion Post No. 88.
