Doris Turner Dudley, 96, of Rocky Mount, died Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at Woodview Nursing Home, South Boston where she had been a resident for the past few years.

She was born June 26, 1908, a daughter of the late Addie and Mary Eliza Dudley Turner and was preceded in death by two husbands, Cloynda Borders and Hobart William Dudley.

Surviving are three children, Nora B. Bennett and husband Frank, Mary Dudley Harrison and husband Julian Harrison, Jr., Billy W. Dudley and wife Maggie; eight grandchildren, David Bennett and wife Carolyn, Carolyn B. Cudd and husband Robert, Kathy B. Sealy and husband John, Donna B. Cox and husband Steve, Robin H. Jennings, Julian Harrison, III, Timothy Dudley and wife Michell, Bryan Dudley; 12 great-grandchildren, Melinda Bennett, Laura B. Parrish, Meagan Lee, Monica Lee, Olivia Jennings, Laurel Jennings, Heather Jones, Kristen Jones, Jessica Cox, Mary Cox, Jordon Dudley, Jacob Dudley; two great-great-grandchildren, Karrie Parrish, and Kayla Parrish.

Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel, 2 p.m. Saturday, with Rev. Eddie Hawks officiating.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the hospice in your community.

The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon on Saturday at Flora Funeral Service and other times at the Dudley home, 5535 Booker T. Washington Hwy., Rocky Mount.
