WILLIAM WOOD, born in Yorkshire, England July 8 1851 son of Samuel Wood came with his parents to Mt Clemens in 1852. In his early clays he labored on a farm. In 1874 he successfully engaged in manufacturing tile with his father. He was married to Mrs Letilia Cole, daughter of Sanford King June 1 1877. Both are members of the Baptist Church of which Mr Wood is Clerk. He is also a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
