FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MISS BLAKE ARE HELD HERE TUESDAY s LONG-TIME DEPUTY IN TAX COLLECTOR'S OFFICE DIED AT SAN ANGEL0

Funeral services for Miss Lottie Blake, 26, former deputy tax collector and tax assessor of Navarro county, who died in San Angelo, Sunday morning at 3 o'clock, were held from the First Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with burial in the Dresden cemetery.

The services were conducted by Rev. J. W. Bergin, pastor of the First Methodist church, assisted by Rev. W. R. Hall, pastor of the First Presbyterian church.

Miss Blake had served as deputy tax assessor during the term of L. H. Elkins and had served as deputy collector during the terms of George W. Boyd, Mrs. Katie Woods and R. L. Harris since January 1, until her resignation due to ill health May 1. Practically all departments of the courthouse closed for the funeral services.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. I. H. Blake, Corsicana; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Bell Woodard, Blooming Grove, and Miss Hallie Blake, Corsicana; a brother, Buster Blake, Blooming Grove; and other relatives.

Active pallbearers were Robert Daniel, T. A. Farmer, Dock Martin, Andrew G. Steele, R. L. Harris and L. C. Mongan. Honorary pallbearers were the friends of the family.

The funeral was directed by the Sutherland - McCammon Funeral Home.
