Although very little is known about Harriet, she was the daughter of William H Stokes (1802- ) and his wife Mary ( -- ) Stokes. And, there were at least 8 children in the Stokes family.

Harriet was married on June 11, 1851 in Crittenden County, Kentucky, to Pleasant E Miller (1828-1899) and was his 1st wife.
