Funeral services will be held Monday, August 13, 2012 at a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Anna Mae "Tut" Labbe, age 82, the former Anna Maraist, who passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. Johnathan Janise, associate pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Ms. Labbe was a native of Parks and a resident of Carencro since 1962. She taught 2nd grade religion classes for St. Peter Roman Catholic Church parish for many years. Ms. Labbe loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the rosary group.
Survivors include one son, Gregory A. Labbe and his wife, Pam, of Carencro; two daughters, Celeste L. Thibodeaux and her husband, Craig, of St. Martinville and Valerie Labbe of Carencro; six grandchildren, Sean Patrick Cormier and his wife, Megan, Clay Thomas Labbe, Francis Matthew Hebert, Nicholas Joseph Newton, all of Carencro, Carmen Marie Thibodeaux and Cameron Paul Thibodeaux of Parks; four great grandchildren, Aiden Cormier, Brennan Cormier, Caden Cormier and Adalynn Cormier; one brother, Paul J. Marish and his wife Melba, of St. Martinville; one sister, Amelia M. Burke and her husband, Walter, of Youngsville and a special friend during her life, Kim Badon Flanders of Carencro.
She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty four years, T.J Labbe, her parents, Laurence John Maraist and the former Anna Melancon; and one brother, Johnny Maraist.
Pallbearers will be Gregory Labbe, Craig Celeste, Sean Cormier, Clay Labbe, Matthew Hebert and Jon Hebert. Honorary Pallbearers are Nicholas Newton, Carmen Thibodeaux and Camron Thibodeaux.
