She was born in Joliet, the daughter of William and Honora Rademacher.
Elaine was a graduate of Lockport Township High School, Class of 1958.
She was employed at the Caterpillar Tractor Company, Joliet and for several years by Burns Security at the DresdenNuclear Plant, Braidwood.
She was a member of the Beanie Baby Club.
Surviving are her mother, Honora Rademacher Brooks of Joliet; three sons and a daughter-in-law; William Whalen of Coal City, James Whalen of Verona and Michael (Kristine) Whalen of Morris; one daughter, Linda Goode of Morris; five grandchildren; five brothers and three sisters-in-law; Roger and Catherine Rademacher of Shorewood, Jerry Rademacher of North Queensland, Austrailia; Lee Rademacher of Joliet, Keith (Beth) Rademacher of Naperville and John (Helen) Rademacher of Morris; four sisters and three brothers-in-law; Jean (Curt) Thomas of Yorba Linda, California, Mary (Bill) Scheidt of Joliet, Catherine Rademacher of Cardiff, California and Denise (Frank)Stec of Joliet. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Elaine was preceded in death by her father (1974) and her two brothers, Kenneth and Paul Rademacher.
A prayer service was held at 10:00 a.m. April 11, 1998 at the Fruland Funeral Home. Memorial mass was celebrated at 7:00 p.m., April 13, 1998 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Woodlawn Avenue, Joliet.
Burial: St. John Cemetery, Joliet.
