Mary spent her professional life at Sears & Roebuck Company. She was the first woman to become a West Coast merchandise manager for Sears in the home furnishings department and received many sales awards. She doubled the sales on the west coast the first year she became merchandise manager.
In retirement, Mary was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Vista Women's Club, serving three terms as President.
For decades she organized family reunions - getting all of her extended family together, researched and shared genealogy, and traveled.
