FORDLAND - Mary Jane Hise, 55, Fordland, Mo., passed away at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 1996, in her home. Mary had a very long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born May 8, 1940, in Fordland, the daughter of Jesse Clive Burks and Blanch Audra Barton Burks.
She was a member of Fordland Methodist Church and a graduate of Fordland High School, Class of 1958.
She was married to Jimmy A. Hise, Sept. 6, 1958, in Fordland. She was a teller for Peoples Bank of Fordland for 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wilber and Dwayne.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy, of the home; two sons, Tim Hise and his wife, Debbie, Fordland, and Daniel Hise, Springfield; three granddaughters, Amy, Heather, and Cloe Jane; three brothers and their wives, Kenneth and Fonda Burks, Dwight and Wanda Burks, and Bill and Rhonda Burks, all of Springfield; three sisters, Helen Bowers, Rogersville, Roselene Wallace and her husband, Bob, Fordland, and Jean Nichols, Bradenton, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 1996, in Preston-Marsh Funeral Home, Rogersville, with the Rev. Jerry Cox officiating. Burial will be in Fordland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
