BLANCHE BURKS FORDLAND -- Services for Blanche Burks, 75, Fordland, will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Fordland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Billy Brabeel officiating. Burial will be in Fordland Cemetery under direction of Marsh of Fordland. Mrs. Burks died early Tuesday in her home after a short illness. She was a member of Fordland United Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons, Kenneth and Dwight, both of Springfield, and Bill, Fordland, four daughters, Mrs. Roselene Ince and Mrs. Mary Hise, both of Fordland, Mrs. Helen Bowers, Rogersville, and Mean Woodall, Bradenton, Fla.; three brothers, Dale Barton, Oroville, Calif., Lloyd Barton, Lenoir City, Tenn., and Gilbert Barton, Strafford; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Totten, Marshfield, Mrs. Pansy Woodruff, Fordland and Mrs. Zola Walter, Logansport, La.; 23 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
