WILLIAMSPORT - Katherine Elizabeth Himes Stine, 85, of 16923 Virginia Ave., died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at her home.


Born Dec. 20, 1921, in Middletown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Roy William and Sadie Mae Hawker Himes.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Edward Stine, in 1995.


She was a homemaker.


She is survived by five daughters, Barbara A. Marshall of Monrovia, Md., Genevieve Slaymaker of Williamsport, Rose Hahn of McConnellsburg, Pa., and Alice Pendley and Judy Renner, both of Frederick, Md.; one son, Jerry Stine of Dickerson, Md.; two sisters, Betty Dailey of Woodsboro, Md., and Evelyn Smith of Frederick; one brother, Roy Himes of Frederick; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary K. Stine; two sons, Edward E. Stine and Earl E. Stine Jr.; one sister, Helen Wachter; and three brothers, Maurice Himes, Austin Himes and Grayson Himes.


Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.


The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
