Mrs. Helen May Wachter, 46,wife of James A. L. Wachter of
Joppatowne, and daughter of Mrs.
Sadie Hawker Himes of Frederick
and the late Roy Himes,
died on June 16 at the St. Agnes
Hospital, Baltimore.
She was an inspector for Belko
in Kingsville.
Besides her husband and mother,
she is survived by two sons,
James A. L. Wachter Jr. of
Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla., and
Martin Eugene Wachter of Jopoa;
four brothers, Austin Himes of
Kensington; Marion Himes of
Washington, D.C.; Grayson
Himes of Middletown, and Roy
Himes of Frederick; three sisters,
Mrs. Evelyn Dorsey of
Braddock Heights; Mrs. Katherine
Stein of Dickerson and Mrs.
Betty Daily of Leesburg, Va.
Funeral services were held on
Friday from the McComas Funeral
Home in Abingdon. The Rev.
John B. Hatfield officitaied. Interment
was in Bel Air Memorial
Gardens. Members of the Security
Police Force, Edgewood
Arsenal, served as honorary
pallbearers. The active pallbearers
were Melvin A. Bolt, E. T.
Jones, Edward Horst, Clinton P.
Brown, Charles Stovall and William T. Read.
