John F. Kloehn, 61, Forest Junction, died in Appleton Sunday morning after an illness of about two weeks.
A native of that community, he operated the farm, known as the Kloehn homestead, about one mile north of Forest Junction, until in 1931, when he retired to the village. He was a member of the Evangelical church of Forest Junction for 46 years and a deacon and trustee for 15 years. He was also director of the Evangelical camp meeting association.
He was married in 1900 to Miss Alvina Reim of Abrams, who survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Reinhold at Seymour, Dr. S. J. Kloehn of Appleton, Elmer, on the homestead, and Harold at Greenleaf; one daughter, Mrs. Milton Seybold of Kohler; four brothers, William Kloehn and Dr. E. H. Kloehn, Brillion, Frank Kloehn, Forest Junction, and O. R. Kloehn, Appleton; and two sisters, Mrs. John Seybold, Forest Junction, and Mrs. George Filyes, Brillion.
The funeral will be held at the home at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon, with services at the tabernacle at the Evangelical camp ground at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Forest Home cemetery. The Rev. W. L. Zeller, Forest Junction, will conduct the funeral, with the funeral sermon by the Rev. Philip Schneider of Appleton.
