Darrell Myers, 59, passed away Saturday Aug 4, 2012, at his home in Cedar Bluff, MS. He was born July 30, 1953, in West Point, MS to the late DenverZane "Bill" Myers and Maycel Jean Charles Myers. He was a former supervisor for Clay County Dist 3, serving for 11 years. While serving as Supervisor, Mr. Myers was on the Golden Triangle Planning and Development Board and the Education Committee for the Mississippi Association of Supervisors. He was also a worked as a construction contractor and was a retired dairy farmer. Funeral Services were held for Mr. Myers on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at 2 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in West Point, MS with Rev Rick Crampton, his brother-in-law, officiating. Mr. Myers laid in state from 1 to 2 PM at the church. Burial followed at Greenwood Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Aubrey Blair, David Norris, Ricky Blake, Terry Cannon, Greg Fretz, and Keith Bagwell. Honorary pallbears were all his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Y. Herring Myers, of Cedar Bluff, MS, three daughters Ruby Puckett and husband, Frankie Puckett, of Tishomingo, MS; Jennifer Allen of Cedar Bluff, MS; Christie Keenum and husband, Lee Keenum, of Cedar Bluff, MS; a son, Darrell Zane Myers and wife, Ann Marie Niles Myers, of Columbus; two brothers: Clayton Myers, of Cedar Bluff and Wayne Myers, of Bratsk, Russia; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: DenverZane "Bill" Myers and Maycel Jean Charles Myers; and his step-mother, Ruby Avent Myers.

Visitation and Services were conducted by Robinson Funeral Home in West Point, MS. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Research Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Friends and family may leave condolences online at robinsonfh.net
