DEATH OF WELL KNOWN ROUND GROVE WOMAN
Mrs. Ella Banks, a well known citizen of Marion county, died Thursday at the home of her son, Lynn S. Banks, in Round Grove township. Some 5 years ago she received a stroke of paralysis and Monday, she suffered a second stroke, and passed away the following Thursday night. She was in the 79th year of her age and has always resided in Marion county. She was a daughter of the late John T. and Kate Bowles, well known citizens of Round Grove township and the widow of Achilles Banks. She is survived by three children, O. P. Banks, of Palmyra, Lynn S. Banks of near Emerson, Mrs. Stella Yost, a resident of a western state. She is also survived by two brothers, W. P. and Gratz B. Bowles and a sister, Mrs. Eva Sanford. For a time she resided in Palmyra with her son, O. P. Banks, but a few years ago returned to Round Grove township. She had been ill declining health for some time. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Emerson and the remains were interred in the cemetery at that place.
