HOPELAWN - Funeral services were held yesterday from Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge, for Edward Sapasie, 58 Luther Avenue, Hopelawn, formerly of Port Reading, who died at the Perth Amboy General Hospital.
A brakeman for the Reading Railroad for the last 35 years, he was a member of the Brotherhood, of Railroad Trainmen and the Order of Railway Conductors. He was also an exempt fireman of the Port Reading Exempt Firemen Association and a member of
the Woodbridge Council, Knights of Columbus, and the Macabee Lodge. He was a veteran of service in the Air Force in World War II.
He is survived by a sister, Miss Helen Sapasie, Hopelawn, with whom he lived.
Solemn High Mass of Requiem was sung at Holy Spirit Church, Perth Amboy and burial was in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hopelawn.
