He was born July 16, 1935 in Jackson County, KY to Sherman & Sunshine (Watkins) Gabbard. He married Barbara Anne Glisson on November 26, 1960 and she preceded him in death on September 14, 2011. He spent his life in Fayette, Franklin and Decatur counties.
Clinton was a US Army veteran. He worked for many years at Bohn Aluminum in Greensburg and also for Tokiem in Shelbyville. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Rushville.
He is survived by his sons, Duane Gabbard of North Vernon and Kenneth & wife Velma Gabbard of Laurel, a brother, Arvin "Peanut" Gabbard of Liberty, a sister, Susie & husband Jim Reece of Greensburg, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife & parents, Clinton was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Gabbard Dunham and a brother, George Gabbard.
Services will be at 11 AM Monday, August 6 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville where friends are welcome to visit from 9:30 until time of service that same day.
Burial will be in the Everton Cemetery.
Jim Reece will preside. Military honors will be provided by the Fayette County Veteran's Honor Guard.
