Viola Birt, 98, died July 14, 1988, at Halstead Hospital. Born Viola Milburn July 25, 1889, at Pilger, NE; she married Charles C. Birt July 28, 1907 at Abbyville. He died June 25, 1945. She was a resident of Halstead since 1979, and was former resident of Hutchinson.
She was a member of Halstead Baptist Church.
Survivors: son, Albert W. 409 East Campbell; daughter, Ruby Boyce, Council Grove; five grand children; 10 great-grandchidren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 1:30 pm. Monday at Kaufman Chapel, Halstead, the Rev. Gary Cox.
Graveside service will be 4 pm. Monday at Greenwood Cemetery, Council Grove.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to service time Monday at the chapel. Memorials may go to Halstead Baptist Church.
