Bernard R. Swegman, 93, formerly of 819 N. Mulberry St., died Saturday in Ball Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Decatur County, near Greensburg, attended schools in that area, and came to Muncie more than 60 years ago.
Mr. Swegman was employed with White Supermarket and earlier with Beoddy Grocery for several years.
Surviving are two sons, Gordin O. Swegman, Bainbridge, Ga., and Donald R. Swegman, Grant, N.Mex.; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be in Meeks Mortuary chapel at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling at the mortuary is 6 to 9 p.m. today or before services on Wednesday.
