Funeral services for Henry J Beever, 86 years old, were held in Monte Vista, Colorado the first of the week, relatives here have learned. Burial was at Monte Vista also.
Mr. Beever died Friday evening following an illness of pneumonia. He was a former resident of Avalon and a prominent farmer and stock raiser. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Blackwell, Monte Vista; a step-daughter, Mrs. Jesse Stevens, Lakeside, Ore.; grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Charles Beever, Akron, Oh.; two sisters, Mrs. Melvin McGinity and Mrs. J.H. Davis of this city and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, who died eight years ago and a brother, F.A. Beever who died at this home in Avalon in 1923.
