Obituary: "Ida Simpson, 87, of Sykesville, died Thursday at the Sykesville Eldercare Center. Born in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sally Hungerford and widow of Hamilton G. Simpson. Surviving are eight daughters, Marie Rogers of Fulton, Dorothy Mullinix, Harriet Shipley, Anna I. Grimes and Jean Morris, all of Sykesville; Helen Nowak of Springfield, Mass.; Margaret Nicholson of Damascus and LaRue Turbyfill of Laurel; two sons, Walter and Thomas of Dayton; 24 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. The funeral will be today at 10 a.m. from the Haight Funeral Home in Sykesville. Burial will be in Linthicum Chapel Cemetery."
