James Alvin "Al" Rowan, 68, of Goodwell, died Monday, March 1, 1993, at St. Anthony's Hospice in Amarillo, Texas. He was born Oct. 3, 1924, in Goodwell.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Virginia; a son, Ray Rowan of Goodwell; and two daughters, Suezell Owens and Karie Hoffman of Denver, Colorado.

Funeral services will be conducted from Panhandle Centenary United Methodist Church in Goodwell Wednesday, March 3, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mike Neal, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Goodwell Cemetery under direction of Henson Funeral Home of Guymon.
