Wendelin M. Vetter, 90, formerly of Hague, ND died at 1:50pm Friday, July 4, 1975 of an apparent heart attack at the Strasburg Nursing Home. His death was unexpected in that he had not been ill.

Born at Odessa, Russia, Nov. 5, 1884, he was a son of Michael and Sophia (Blielah) Vetter. He came to the U.S. in 1903 and married Elizabeth Feist on Oct. 20, 1908 at Hague. They farmed four miles south of Hague. Mrs. Vetter died June 15, 1957 and he retired in 1948. He had been a resident of the Nursing Home the past six years.

Survivors include the following children: Andrew, Aberdeen, SD, Mike, Conrad, MT, Mrs. John (Sophie) Kirschenman, Eureka, SD, John, Zeeland, Mrs. Paul (Ann) Schneider, Hopewell, VA, Tony, Cudahy, WI, Mrs. Andy (Kathryn) Wald, Herried, SD, Mrs. Gabe (Alice) Welk, Hague, and Mrs. Leo (Clara) Lipp, Hague.

There are 42 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

One daughter, Mrs. Mike (Lucarda) Schlosser, and 13 brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

The funeral was held at 10 am Tuesday at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hague, with the Rev. Roman Schmidt, Strasburg officiating and Kraft Funeral Home, Linton, in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ervin and Wayne Vetter, Daniel Welk, Silas Lipp, Carey Wald and Arnold Vetter
