Rose always appeared to be rather old to me, with blonde wavy hair following the style of the 1940's. She was a rather nice looking individual, but had a horrible habit of pinching little kids, to her it was a sign of affection to us it was painful and we stayed away from her as much as possible.

She was found laying on the floor in the rectory, where she had fallen, her hand apparently fell into the oscilating fan and was cut rather severly. I was told that she probably had a heart attack further complicated by the injury and loss of blood.

"MISS ROSE RENSING HOUSEKEEPER AT ST. TERESA'S DIES Miss Rose J. Rensing, 55 year old housekeeper at St. Teresa's Rectory, 1106 Lebanon Ave., collapsed and died suddenly this morning apparently the victim of a heart attack.

"Miss Rensing who had been housekeeper for Msgr. William Hoff, pastor of the church since the parish was founded 25 years ago, was stricken at home at 8 o'clock this morning and was taken in the Renner-Geminn Ambulance to St. Elizabeth's Hospital where she died two hours later. Her brother Fred C. Rensing of 1421 N. Charles Street, married a sister of Fr. Hoff.

"Born in St. Louis on April 17, 1896 she was the daughter of the late John and Mary E. Rensing nee Stauder, her father was born in Damiansville, her mother in St. Louis, she never married.

"Surviving beside her brother Fred is a brother Oscar Rensing of 422 Park Ave., and four sisters; Johanna wife of William Buchholz, St. Louis; Clara wife of Fred Buchholz, 810 E. McKinley Street; Ida wife of Michael Walter, 808 East McKinley Street; and Frances Rensing of 710 Annex Street.

"She was a member of the Perpetual Help Sodality at St. Teresa's Church.

"Her funeral arrangements, see the Obituary Collumn on page 11.
