Zona Singler, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, "went home" Feb. 1, 2012 at 86.
Zona was born March 21, 1925 in Sherwood, Ore. to Levi Burbank and Mabel Yost.
Her early years were spent in Pedee, Ore.
She married Stanley Singler on May 25, 1943 in Newport, Oregon.
He nicknamed her "Noni".
They were blessed with a son, Steven in 1944.
She has lived in North Las Vegas for over 50 years.
Zona retired as a supervisor for the Clark County School District food service program.
She enjoyed sewing, gardening, crafts, and trivial pursuit, as well as betting on baseball and beating her family in poker.
Zona was preceded in death by her parents, Levi and Mabel; three sisters, Pearl, Doris, Evelyn; three brothers, Carl, William, Eugene; and her husband Stanley.
She is survived by two sisters, Lois and Patricia; her cherished son, Steven; three daughters-in-law, Jeanie, Susan, and Kathyrn; three grandchildren, Gavin, Tona and Stephanie; four grandchildren-in-law, Doralyn, Steven, Ivan, and Amber; nine great-grandchildren, Kaileen, Dustin, Eli, Jesse, Jewlz, Stevie, Ethan, Ivan, and Ivy; several loving nieces and nephews who also called her "Noni"; and many, many cousins.
