Antje "Ann" Pool, 96, of Manteno, passed away Friday (July 27, 2012) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee.
Ann was born Aug. 21, 1915, in Flanagan, the daughter of Manuel and Dena (Monk) Rewerts. Her husband, Philip Pool, whom she married April 8, 1940, in Bonfield, passed away in June 1987. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kankakee and the Ladies Aid at the church. She was also a member of River Valley Christian Fellowship in Bradley and the Bunco Club. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, watching television and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Juanita (Joe) Canada, of Manteno, & Shirley Byler, of Bourbonnais; eight grandchildren, Lori (Larry) Allie, Anita Powell and Jeff Poteete, Alan Wendling, Mellisa (Tracy) Grimm, David (Rhonda) Wendling, Brenda Klopp, Douglas (Nikki) Wendling & Lloyd Klopp; 15 great-grandchildren & five great greatgrandchildren; & many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents & two brothers,
Clarence & Glenn Rewerts.
Pastor Christopher Sheets will officiate. Burial will be in Bonfield Cemetery.
