Glen was born the son of the late Emanuel and Bernadine Monk Rewerts. Mr. Rewerts worked at A.O. Smith Corp., retiring after 38 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II in the Pacific Theater of Operations (Philippines and Guam). He was of the Lutheran faith. He was vice president of Machinists Local 2059 at A.O. Smith from 1961 to 1966. He was a lifetime member of Kankakee VFW Post 2857. Surviving are his wife, the former Jeannette Francouer, of Manteno, whom he married Oct. 15, 1949, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Kankakee; five sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Dr. Bronia Rewerts of Manteno, Randall and Pat Rewerts of Bourbonnais, Gary and Lisa Rewerts, and Dr. Glen Jr. and Tara Rewerts, all of Kankakee, Jerry and Diane Rewerts of Manteno; five daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Dr. Greg Zoltani of Steilacoom, Wash., Glennette and Kevin Randles of Kankakee, Jeannine and Dr. Richard Wegner of Bradley, Nina and Roger Koerner Jr., and Annette and Dr. Ron Kurzejka, all of Kankakee; 28 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Annie Poole of Kankakee. Deceased are one brother, Clarence Rewerts; one sister-in-law, Barbara Rewerts; and one brother-in-law, Phillip Poole.
