She was probably born in Albion, Dane Co, WI.

Wisconsin [or Minnesota] Territorial Census, 1846, Albion, Dane Co, WI:
"George Bunting." [His brother, Job Bunting, settled in Dane Co, WI for life.] This census only named heads of household, but Mary Ann was already living by this time.

From: "Dodgeville Chronicle," the 31 Aug. 1865 issue: "Married in Mineral Point on the 20th inst. by Samuel Thomas, Esq, Mr. Elisha Tyrer to Miss Mary Bunting, both of the town of Dodgeville."

"Obituary-Tyrer. Died in this city, Saturday, Sept. 12th, 1896, after a lingering illness of cancer of the bowels, Ann, beloved wife of Mr. Elisha Tyrer, aged 50 years. Deceased was a daughter of George Bunting of this city, and leaves six children-four girls and two boys-all of whom are living in this city with the exception of one, Mrs. W. R. Thomas of Waldwick. Funeral services were held at the family residence on Monday, conducted by Rev. R. Titmarsh, and attended by a large concourse of friends."
