CONWAY — A. V. "Bud" Flythe, 83, died in Roanoke Rapids Hospital Friday. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Zion Methodist Church by the Rev. John Long, pastor, and the Rev. Gene Tisdale. Burial was in the family cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Barrow Flythe; five daughters, Mrs. Louise F. Smith and Mrs. Lennie F. Vinson of Conway, Mrs. Janie F. Johnson of Milwaukee, Mrs. Lucy F. Hall of Norfolk, VA and Mrs. Betty F. Holt of Raleigh; two sons, Junius E. Flythe and A. V. Flythe, Jr., both of Conway; one sister, Miss Mamie Flythe, and 15 grandchildren.
