Charles "Chuck" Hayward was born 15 July 1932 in Clayton,OK to John Franklin and Rachel (Taylor) Hayward. He passed away at home on the 11th of July 2009. He was a veteran of both Korea and Vietnam. After retiring from the Army he became a policeman and returned to college earning his degree from the University of Puget Sound. He moved back to Alaska working for the federal government until retirement in 1991. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, children and grandchildren. He lived well and died suddenly.
