Grandpa Frank was born in Jasper, Ark. He met and married Rachel in Grady, Okla in 1924. During the dust bowl era the family worked as itinerant farm workers in Texas and Oklahoma. Finally moving to California in the 1940s and settling there for a better life. Of his passing his son Charles said "That the world is a much colder place".

WW2 draft registration dated 14 Feb 1942 he was 5'7" 195lbs ruddy complexion gray eyes and brn hair. Living in Clayton, Okla.

NOTE: depending on the document his name order was one of the following John Marion Franklin or Marion John Franklin or John Franklin Marion or John Franklin or Marion Franklin but he went by Frank. If I find 2 that match the order of all 3 names ........
