Billy Whitlock, 75, passed away Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004, at Hospice House.

He was born May 1, 1929, to Clarence O. and Ruth Whitlock in Merkel. He married Addie Belle Anderson on Dec. 30, 1947, in Waco, and taught Refrigeration and Air Conditioning at Odessa College, where he developed a degreed program for his profession. He then founded the Ref. and A/C program at OHS where he taught until his retirement at which time the program closed. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Addie Belle Whitlock of Odessa; daughters, Rebecca Ann McSpadden of Odessa; Anna Marie Whitlock Henry of Lubbock; and Sally Ruth Bohls of Carrollton; brothers, R. L. Williams of Eastland, and Sam B. Whitlock of Odessa; sister, Mary Ann Rodgers of Ridgecrest, Cal.; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at First Baptist Church with Byron McWilliams officiating.

Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery.

Pall bearers are Steve Pepper, Larry Pepper, Jimmy Zugg, Cavin Zugg, Eddie Rhodes, Fred Martin, Don Pradon, Darrell Pradon, Terry Presley, and James Silvester.

Former students of Mr. Whitlock will be seated in a reserved section at the services.

Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
