Ann Rodgers was born, grew up in and swore to return to Texas. She kept her bags packed for the first 40 years living in China Lake/Ridgecrest before fully agreeing with the Lord to blossom where she was planted.

Upon promptly unpacking, she began an earnest endeavor of collecting everything under God's sun. Those lucky enough to witness the evolution of the home she made with Charlie, her husband of 59 years, can attest to her eye and skill as collector and curator of her beautiful ‘junk'.

Along the way, Ann also made time to raise four children, work as a technical librarian, teach Sunday school and Vacation Bible school, sing in several church choirs (and direct a few of them).

Ann loved Jesus, Charlie Ray, her children, her family, her friends, her church, her community and her country.

A few of Ann's favorite things…

• Favorite flower: "Sunflowers, lots of them."
• Favorite toy: "Dolls."
• Favorite bird: "Chickens, lots of them; only one rooster, please."
• Favorite color: "Red, White and Blue."
• Favorite musicians: "Sunshine Singers."
• Favorite music: "Hymns from the Baptist Hymnal, 1975 edition, only, please."
• Favorite state: "Texas (are there others?)"
• Favorite love song: "You Are My Sunshine."
• Favorite comment: "Not yet." "Just a minute." "She always does this to me." "No more funny business." "J.R., sit down and shut up."

Declaration of Faith: "I believe by faith, when the time comes, I'll fall asleep and wake up in God's new Heaven; safe in the arms of God." And she did.

You are missed and loved, Annie-girl / Momma / Granmaw.
