Hobert Junior Potter (Jr.), of Maryville, passed away at his home on Friday, July 27, 2012, and was born July 21, 1944.

He was employed by C&C Trucking for 33 years.

He was preceded in death by parents, John and Grace Potter; brothers, James and Walter Lee Potter; sisters, Ovetta Beckner and Peggy Bowers.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Brenda Dunlap Potter; sons, Charles and Tammie Potter, Larry Potter, Jeff Potter, Floyd and (caregiver) Cassie Potter; daughter and (caregiver), Nancy Potter; 12 grandchildren; brother, Mayford and Betty Potter; best friend, Robin Nelson; nephews, Danny Potter, Larry and Ann Potter; nieces, Carnett Keasier; three great-nephews; and one great-great-nephew.

The family wishes to thank Blount Memorial Hospice Team: Jen, Tabetha, and Penny.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Russell, Rev. Rex Everett, and Rev. Dan Buchanan officiating. Family and friends will meet 3 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2012, at New Providence Cemetery for a graveside service. The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
