Margaret Ruth Mandrell, 88, of Blanchard, died July 26, 2012 in Blanchard, Oklahoma. The daughter of Dicy Louetta (Cotter) and Guy Lee Miller, she was born June 10, 1924 in Cowden, Oklahoma.
She graduated from Cowden Schools and had perfect attendance all 12 years. Margaret married J.C. Mandrell on June 28, 1942 in Mountain View. She was employed by Langston's Western Store as a bookkeeper for many years and later co-owned Jay's Pump with her husband. She was a member of the Word of Life Ministries in Dibble and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and playing dominoes.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Johnny Mandrell; granddaughter Tonesha Elledge; one brother, Homer Miller; three sisters, Claudine Caldwell, Ida Littlefield, and Ruby Devin.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 70 years, J.C. Mandrell of Blanchard; sons, Tommy Ray Mandrell of Mesa, Arizona, and Bill Mandrell and wife Naomi of Blanchard; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Troy Miller, G.P. Miller, Mike Miller, all of Mountain View and Leroy Miller of Lamont, California; sisters, Doris Commings of Lawton, Norma Huckaby of Lake Isabella, California, Joyce Maynard of Mountain View, and Marjorie Guenther of Raymond, Ohio; many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard with Reverend Bill Mandrell officiating. Interment will be held at 2 P.M., Wednesday, at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain View. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard.
