Monday evening after an illness of only a few days, Eugene Leslie Edmonston, departed this life, aged 20, with inflammation of the bowels.

Thus it is when feeling most sevure, we are suddenly reminded of the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death.

In 1888, he graduaated from the Franklin school, being only 15 years old and the youngest in the class. In July of that year, he commenced working for James T. McKee and remained with him until October 1890, when he accepted a position with Henry Hunter in the grain business, where he remained for a year.

In March, 1892, he entered the store of Huey & Son, as cashier, remaining there until his death. Every position was filled with perfect satisfaction to his employers and he was regarded as 'a model boy.' How beautiful with his Christian life, blending all tha was pure and elevating of earth with the hughest thoughts of heaven.

Funeral at the C.P. Church and burial in Englewood.
