Donald was a retired Chief Warrant Officer of the United States Army serving from 1972-1992. He was a veteran of the Gulf War was a recipient of a Bronze Star in 1991.
He was employed by the Illinois Department of Corrections in Robinson, Illinois and was a representative on the Lawrence County, Illinois Board District 1 where he served as chairman of the road and bridge committee as well as several other county board committees.
He was a member of the Lawrenceville, Illinois VFW Post 2244 and a member of the Christy Township Fire Department in Chauncey, Illinois.
In addition to his wife, he was survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Duayne and Heather Angle, and Dale and Donna Angle, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Darlene Angle and Gerald and Amy Angle; a sister-in-law, Joyce (Gillespie) Angle Smith; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Angle.
Funeral Services for Donald were held in the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois. Interment was in the Waggoner Cemetery with the American Legion and VFW conducting full military rites.
