Killed In The Mine
James Jack was killed in the Bowery Mine of the Borden Mining Company Wednesday morning by the fall of a “horseback”. When found he was almost covered by the fall and his neck was broken. A jury of inquest was impaneled by Justice George Britt and a verdict of accidental death rendered. The jury were Messrs:---
Hugh McMillan, foreman
George Cook Isaac Anderton
Thomas Mason Peter Carroll
John T. Jones John Wade
Edward Winner James P. Quinn
William Davis James Wilson
Scott Rob
The funeral took place yesterday at St. Michael’s Church. The large attendance included the Fire Department and St. Joseph’s Beneficial Society, of which the deceased was a member. The floral offerings were very fine.
