Funeral services for Mrs. Rebecca Woodrum, 75 years of age, were held Tuesday, January 10 at 2 p.m. from the Cane Valley Christian Church with the Rev. Conover in charge, assisted by the Rev. E. P. Gast. Burial was in the Cane Valley Cemetery in Adair County. Mrs. Woodrum, daughter of the late George Banks and Nancy Quisenberry Banks, was born in Adair County September 28, 1874. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Bault, in Campbellsville at 3:30 a.m. Monday, January 9. She professed faith in Christ at an early age in life and was a member of Cane Valley Christian Church of which she had been a faithful member for some 40 years. She united in marriage to James Woodrum January 10, 1894, he preceded her six years ago. To this union one daughter and one son was born, Mrs. Docia Bault of Campbellsville and Albert Woodrum of Cane Valley. She also leaves two brothers, John and S. L. Banks of Adair County; and one sister, Mrs. Catherine McFarland of Adair County; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Lloyd G. Bault, Burr W. Bault, Albert L. Woodrum, Leroy Sallee, Coy Livesay, and Nathan Woodrum. ~The News-Journal, Thursday, January 12, 1950
