Miss Nettie Thompson, 75, rural Blanchardville, died early Saturday morning, Jan. 15, 1972 in the Darlington Memorial Hospital, after a prolonged illness. For the past few years she had been at the Kammerude Nursing Home and was hospitalized several days before her death.

Nettie Maria Thompson was born June 24, 1896, a daughter of Ole G. and Helena Anderson Thompson. She attended Blanchardville schools and made her home with two brothers at the edge of Blanchardville.

She was baptized in the Adams Lutheran Church and was a confirmed member of the Blanchardville Lutheran Church and a member of its ALCW.

Services were held Tuesday afternoon in the church with Pastor J.R. Hestenes officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery.

Surviving are two brothers, Edward H. and Olden H., Blanchardville; and three sisters, her twin Mrs. Nora Hanson, Cumberland; Mrs. John (Mabel) Wahl, Blanchardville; and Mrs. Herbert (Elizabeth) U'Ren, Dodgeville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Saether Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
